SETTING SAILS BY HAND
Sailing passion with a tradition: on board the SEA CLOUDs, the sails are still traditionally set by hand. It is always a spectacular moment when the sailors climb the rigging, loosen the heavy cloth and then haul the lines in from the deck. Nothing happens at the push of a button: almost a full hour passes before all sails can catch the wind.

A private yacht with an eventful history
Golden swan-shaped water taps, magnificent marble fireplaces, French antiques – as heiress to a fortune worth millions, Marjorie Merriweather Post was able to give free rein to her imagination when building her private yacht, which was launched in Kiel in 1931. Even today, every detail on the SEA CLOUD radiates the glamour of a bygone era. Her elegance seems timeless, as she has retained her unconventional charm.

The 32 cabins could hardly be more different: depending on your personal taste, you can live a little more luxuriously in one of the eight original cabins or a little more modern in the comfortable outer cabins.
Cabin key (card)
On SEA CLOUD, you travel like on your own private yacht with staterooms not being locked. If you wish you can request a key from the purser.

Your suite or stateroom on all ships is equipped with a direct dial phone.
Each suite or stateroom on board of our ships offer a complimentary selection of non-alcoholic beverages. We provide L’Occitane en Provence toiletries for your convenience as well as a bathrobe, slippers, and hairdryer.
Safe
You will find your safe in the closet of your cabin on all three ships. You can program it with a personal code. Please get in touch with the reception if you need assistance.

Everyone quickly finds their favourite place on board: whether it’s a sundowner at the lido bar, in the comfortable deckchair, in the Blue Lagoon or with the first coffee on the bridge.
On our authentic sailing yacht, sailing and sailing manoeuvres are our priority. We have selected dates with themed sailings including art, music, food, and drinks. During evening and cocktail hours, we do have soft entertainment in the Lido Bar. You will find all information, useful tips and shore excursions in your daily program The daily program is placed in your cabin every evening to announce the next day’s activities.
